Over the years, he accumulated a great wealth of knowledge. The practice was founded on the care of the terrified patient. Expert at the removal of teeth, temporomandibular joint disorders, advanced restorative procedures including full mouth rehabilitation, all of “4” (ie.), “Clearchoice” dentistry, dentures, smile enhancement with the use of ceramic and composite veneers, “age regression” dentistry with the use of composite. He services the public as a general family practitioner as well.
Steve thoroughly enjoys his work and is surrounded by some of the next support cast in Sacramento.
His favorite hobbies presently include golf and skiing. In the past, he coached high school golf for 15 years, became a 4th-degree blackbelt in Taekwondo, 2nd degree in weapons and other arts. As a family man, he has been married with two daughters and a granddaughter.
Leslie
Office Manager | Registered Dental Assistant
Leslie Sanford began her career by attending High-Tech Institute in 1994 and was hired by Dr. Huppert in 2006 as the assistant office manager, later becoming the lead assistant and back office manager. After mastering the office, Leslie pursued her RDA license in 2011 and continues her professional development through peer education. Her impeccable skills as Dr. Huppert’s assistant led her to consult for the Dental Board of California as a subject matter specialist. In this capacity, she helps write curriculum and assessment materials for potential RDA candidates.
Being a mother always comes first, but her career and her patients are very important to Leslie; working in the dental field has afforded her the opportunity to balance both of these important aspects of life. Leslie loves the outdoors and water sports. She spends most weekends at her cabin in the El Dorado National Forest, on the lakes, or simply floating in her pool. She has a huge heart for animals of all kinds and enjoys them being part of her family. After hours, Leslie spends her time in the gym or working on home and garden improvements.
Clairi
Registered Dental Hygienist
Clairi started out as a dental assistant while going through college to pursue dental hygiene. She graduated from Carrington College Dental Hygiene program. She has been practicing since 2016. Not only does Claira enjoy the clinical part of hygiene, but she also enjoys building long-lasting relationships with her patients and providing them with high-quality care.
During her free time, she enjoys hiking, fishing, BBQing, and traveling. In the summer, she spends a lot of time at the family cabin.
Alyssa
Office Assistant | Dental Assistant
Alyssa started as a patient of Dr. Huppert’s, where her interest in dentistry began. She joined the practice in 2018 with initial duties including sterilization and setting up treatment rooms. In 2020, she earned her x-ray license. Currently, she serves as a dental assistant. Dr. Huppert heavily relies on Alyssa in his day-to-day procedures in all aspects. Her smile and eyes will brighten any room, and we are happy to have her greet and attend to our patients.
Alyssa is an incredible artist. Her preferred mode of expression is paint, more specifically acrylics. However, she enjoys expressing herself in a variety of ways, including pencil drawing and ink colorization. Drawing and painting help Alyssa maintain balance and achieve peace. Something else Alyssa enjoys is animals. They have always been a part of her life and she has developed a soft spot for them all. Most specifically, she adores her two dogs, Honey & Theo, whom she considers family. She takes them on runs when she’s not at the office, often visiting the dog parks in the area.
